Shipping: Shipping was fast & discreet.
Package: Lapis was safely secured in its beautiful designed box that was showing a picture of Lapis with some highlight features. Inside the box was Lapis, a black storage bag, charging cable and instruction manual.
Manufacture: Lovense - a brand that specialises on designing interactive pleasure toys to enhance intimacy between partners and one self.
What is it?: Lapis is a strapless strap-on Dildo designed for vulva havers (as a wearer). Vulva havers can use Lapis for partner play with any gender. Lapis can be used to stimulate the person wearing it (wearer) and another person either through vaginal or anal stimulation (receiver).
Material, shape & texture: Lapis is made from silicone with an abs plastic ring separating the two ends. It is available in pink. The silicone feels very smooth and Lapis is designed beautifully. It has one end that is shaped like a “penis” dildo (for the receiver) and the other end is shaped to stimulate the G-spot (of the wearer). Lapis has a flexible neck at the G-spot end – it can be adjusted to suit the body’s shape. We are all shaped slightly different and this makes it more comfortable & pleasurable to wear. However, do not bend the neck side to side or above 180 degrees. The Dildo part gets bigger at the head and the G-spot part has a thicker bump midway. The mid-part will sit against the clitoris and has some ridged grooves for extra stimulation.
Measurements: I measured Lapis with 24cm (9 inch) length, with 14cm (5.43 inch) max to be inserted with the Dildo part & about 9cm (3.43 inch) to be inserted for the G-spot stimulation part. The dildo end is just over 4cm (1.6 inch) in width at its biggest part and the G-spot part has almost 4cm (1.52 inch) at the widest part. Lapis weighs about 315g.
Functions: Lapis can be enjoyed as it is or you can take advantage of the 7 different vibration options – 3 different intensities and 4 different patterns. Lapis has 3 motors – one in each end and one where both ends meet (the clitoral stimulating part).
The vibration can be controlled via the button on the side of Lapis – hold for 3 seconds to switch on & single press to change patterns, hold for longer to switch off again. The vibration via the button controls all motors at the same time.
Even better though, you have the option to control Lapis via the Lovense App. This makes it easier as once it is in place, there might be restricted space to reach the button on Lapis. Controlling it via the App can make the experience smoothly.
When you choose to control Lapis via the App, you have the option to navigate each of the motors separately.
App: You will need to download the Lovense App & connect your Lapis with the App. Some of the key features of the App are: unlimited vibration patterns, long distance control, close-range control, sync to music or environmental sounds, set different vibration patterns & so much more.
Noise: When all motors are working at the same time, I was able to hear Lapis – however, it is still very low & once inserted it was even less notable.
Charging: Lapis is USB rechargeable via the cable provided. There are two magnetic ports on Lapis to use with the cable. Charging can take up to 105min to fully charge. The charging red light will switch off once fully charged. Fully charged Lapis can provide pleasure up to 156min.
Care: Due to the silicone, I cleaned it with mild soapy warm water and let it air dry. Lapis is waterproof, which makes the cleaning easier. Please do not boil Lapis in water due to the battery. You could also use a compatible toy cleaner or wipes.
Waterproof: Yes, IPX7. This makes Lapis a great option to include under the shower as well.
Storage: Lapis comes with its own black storage bag, which is big enough to store Lapis in comfortably. Make sure Lapis is completely dried before storing it in its bag. I placed the bag with my other toys in the toy drawers – a cool, dry & dark place.
Lube: Due to the silicone, I used water-based lube with it. Lube is highly recommended for it to make the experience sliding and pleasurable for the wearer and the receiver. Especially when Lapis is used anally for the receiver than I would suggest to not hold back with the lube.
Pleasure & Toy Queen Review
My experience summary: Okay, first things first to clarify that although I had my fun with Lapis, I did not have an actual receiver and wearer at the same time (not yet..). Nevertheless, I got a little creative and was able to wear Lapis and play around with it, using a bunch of pillows and other equipment to stimulate the process & I was able to play with Lapis as a receiver using my hands. Therefore, I can only provide my honest opinion about my experience as a wearer of Lapis, without an actual receiver in the same moment & as a receiver of Lapis without another wearer in the same moment – if that makes sense?!
Lapis as a wearer: This was my first ever experience to wear a strapless strap on. Therefore, I don’t have anything to compare the experience with. After a few little adjustments of the flexible neck, I found the right position to wear Lapis comfortably. It felt very empowering I must admit. However, it was a litte too heavy for me. When standing it was sliding out easier due to the fact it was so heave. I needed to keep my legs closed to keep it in. When thrusting in a top position it was ok - but then I didnt really have a lot of resistance (I used other equipment to thrust into.. like pillow etc.) You would have had a good laugh seeing me jumping and thrusting all sorts on my bed haha.. it was fun!
Lapis as a receiver: I honestly enjoyed Lapis more as a receiver than as a wearer. The wearer hand is a great option to hold onto when thrusting inside myself. I was able to control Lapis via the button this way, but then swapped over to the App. This way I could control the internal vibration separately. Lapis has a delicious size in length and girth at the receiving end. I personally really enjoyed the Dildo internal stimulation.
With the App: I found the App very easy to navigate. Using the App provides more opportunities to use the motors separately and to change the vibration settings without reaching for the button at the toy (because once in use with two people it will be hard to do so, or very interrupting). This provides a great opportunity for the wearer or the receiver to control the vibrations. Even within the App there are various options to use the stimulation via sound, music, Spotify (premium), YouTube videos, pre-programmed patterns, … It is a great App.
Summary: Overall, I love the idea of a strapless strap on. I believe this can be a great pleasurable time for both the wearer and the receiver. Lapis has some great features & provides even more opportunities of pleasure via the Lovense App. Personally, I just wish Lapis would be a little lighter to wear, that would probably help to keep Lapis in place and also stimulate the G-spot better.
