When splash blanket reached out to me & asked me if I would like to review their blankets, I was keen as beans! If you have watched one of my previous reviews, you will know that I already had the original splash blanket in moon blood - massive size. This time I was allowed to choose a small original and small summer blanket. Of course, due to the fact I already had moon blood I went with my other fav colour black. In the picture and in my review video, you can see the original blanket in round travel size black with white on the other side & the summer blanket in small square size both sides black.

If you are new to "splash blankets" let me explain to you what they are. A must-have for pleasure fun! Definitely in my case a must have for pleasure toy reviews and in general for the bedroom fun. Since I m squirting and sometimes a lot - these blankets have not just helped me to reduce the mess to clean up (as into bedsheets, carpets etc.) but also helped me to let go, ease into it and make an even bigger mess, haha, on the blankets though. I m one of the women who can't let fully go when she is too much in her mind space thinking about "who is going to clean up this mess & how". So, since I have the splash blankets, I can enjoy the pleasures, I can enjoy the toy reviews, knowing it is ok when I squirt, because it will be simple to clean up.

Meaning a splash blanket can be a great "squirt blanket" due to the fact it is waterproof and absorbent. But you can use these blankets for many other reasons as well, such as free bleeding, nappy free times for babies, as picnic blankets, couch blankets, breastfeeding times, any times that you require a waterproof & absorbent blanket - for just in case.

The blankets can hold up to 1 litre of fluids. They absorb the fluids slowly into the blanket and nothing will go through to the other side. So, if I place them on my carpet or bed & I have a good squirting session, my bed or carpet will stay dry underneath. I simply roll up the blanket & put it straight into the wash. Cold or warm wash cycle. No softener needed. They stay comfy & soft. You can use a dryer, but I let it air dry here in warm QLD, Australia.

So what's the difference between the original and the summer blanket?

The original summer blanket is made out of 100% vegan polyester sherpa fleece and the other side is made of micro-velvet fabric that has been bonded with a waterproof internal layer. The waterproof layer is made of 100% recycled Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), which makes both sides of the blanket waterproof and absorbent. The TPU is a non-toxic, BPA-free and a 100% food-grade safe material that does not contain any chemicals.

I find you do hear the waterproof layer in the original blanket a little bit after a couple washes. Like it does make a bit of noise when you move the blanket. Definitely super comfy and soft, great for the colder times when you need a fluffy blanket.

It is available in XS: 1m x 1m round, S: 1.2m x 1.2m square, M: 1.2m x 2m rectangle and L: 2m x 2m square. Available in various colours as well such as moon blood, black, chocolate, cloud, rose quarry, purple smoke etc.

The summer blanket is made of 40% bamboo and 60% polyester and has been internally bonded with a waterproof layer. The waterproof layer is made of 100% recycled Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), which makes both sides of the blanket waterproof and absorbent. The TPU is a non-toxic, BPA-free and a 100% food-grade safe material that does not contain any chemicals.

It is available in different sizes: S: 1.2x1.2 meter square, M: 1.2x2 meter rectangle & L: 2 meter square. You can get the summer blanket in Black, Charcoal, Caramel Latte or Vanilla Bean.

Compared to the original blanket - I prefer & love the summer blanket. I love the look of it (black on black too), love that it's thin, cool and light.

Depending on the size and material, prices vary and start from about $60 (Aus), which I find reasonable as my must-have for pleasure fun. You can use my links and codes mentioned above to save.

Edit: I have now been able to try most of the Splash blankets and by far my favorite ones are the Summer Bamboo & the double velvet blanket.
