If you follow me for a while, you will know that I m a huge fan of the Splash Blankets. You can use Code Trisha10 to save. I’m a squirter, now. I haven’t always been one. I unlocked that feature about 5 years ago, first through someone else and then I was able to make myself squirt and then via toys. I used to put multiple towels underneath myself – and even then, my mattress was usually soaked with fluids afterwards. It stressed me out so much, that sometimes, I even stopped myself to fully let go. With that, I didn’t allow myself to feel deep pleasure. I’m one of the women who stressed herself about the mess she could make & then as to clean up. Since I’m using the splash blanket underneath – OMG! It is an absolute game changer for my pleasure experience. I can finally fully let go without worrying. I can step into my pleasure & body space & enjoy rather than staying in my mind worrying. I have not had one soaked mattress spot since using the blankets, and I can squirt a lot. Though I did get a soaked pillow once haha.

What is a Splash Blanket?

The splash blanket is a blanket that has the feature to absorb water/fluid to protect what is underneath.

Meaning a splash blanket can be a great "squirting blanket" due to the fact it is fluid proof and absorbent. But you can use these blankets for many other reasons as well, such as free bleeding, nappy free times for babies, as picnic blankets, couch blankets, breastfeeding times, any times that you require a waterproof & absorbent blanket - for just in case.

The blankets can hold up to 1 litre of fluids. They absorb the fluids slowly into the blanket and nothing will go through to the other side. So, if I place them on my carpet or bed & I have a good squirting session, my bed or carpet will stay dry underneath.

I love that I can use the splash blankets on my bed, couch, carpet and use it while travelling (hotel room, train, car, someone else’s house). They also come very handy for all my toy reviews, because I never know if that new toy might make me squirt when I test it. The Splash blanket makes it very easy to clean up afterwards. I roll it up, wash it, hang it up to dry and it’s ready for next time. So far, they stay beautifully soft (I don’t use any detergent with it), except the small original blanket that I got. It got a bit more “stiff” and “noisy” after a few washes. It was one of the very first blankets though and they have improved ever since. The splash blanket has become my must-have for toy reviews and for all my self-pleasure & sexual activities really.

What they are made of: They have a waterproof layer that is made of 100% recycled Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), which makes both sides of the blanket waterproof and absorbent. The TPU is a non-toxic, BPA-free and a 100% food-grade safe material that does not contain any chemicals, so they say.

Wash instructions: This usually depends on the type of blanket, eg. the faux blanket or splash mat can’t be washed in the washing machine. These are spot cleaning only. Most ones though can be washed and the following is recommended: wash on a regular washing cycle & avoid using a delicate cycle (risk of waterlogged), in a cool or warm water setting and avoid using an extra hot water wash. Hang out on the washing line in the sunshine (which I do in sunny QLD, Australia) or tumble dryer but not longer than 30min (to avoid melting the waterproof film. For stubborn stains, use a gentle, eco stain remover. Avoid using bleach or fabric softener.

They can lose their effective features when used regularly over an extended period of time.

Here are the common sizes from the Splash Blanket. Note not all are available in all sizes. Sometimes a certain colour, type and size might be sold out, but usually gets restocked when the demand is there.

Travel: 50cm x 75cm (19 x 29 inches)

Best described as the size of a baby-change table, which can be great for travelling to use over your car seats, gym machines, couch covers, hotel furniture, bed or carpets. Easy quick grab size that fits easily into the bag.

Extra Small Round (XS): 1m x 1m (40in x 40in)

Small: 1.2m x 1.2m (47in x 47in)

Although this one is labelled as a “small”, it is actually a pretty decent size to cover a good part of the bed, couch, floor or where ever you need it.

Medium: 1.2m x 2m (47in x 78.5in)

This one has a similar shape and size of a single bed. Can also be used for full body massages (oil spills) or cuddling up on the couch. Some might use it as a throw over blanket on the end of the bed.

Large: 2m x 2m (78.5in x 78.5in)

This blanket fits best over the size of a Queen size bed. Perfect fit for the squirting messy and passionate wild sex moments.

Jumbo: 2.3m x 2.3m (90.5in x 90.5in)

This size covers most King, Super King and California King beds. The jumbo size will not just lay flat across the bed but actually tuck in or fall over the sides of the mattress, unlike the large size. This one actually fits really well over my King size bed covering all parts of the mattress.

They come up with new ideas, styles and colours all the time. By now, you can also get splash mats, splash fitted sheets and splash pillow cases – you can basically sleep in a bed covered with splash blanket, pillows & sheets if you please.

3: The Womb Free Bleed Splash blanket

The Womb Free Bleed blanket is made of 100%micro-velvet-fabric (outer layer) and 100%theroplastic polyurethane (inner layer).

Size: This blanket is only available in one size: 1.45m x 1.45m (square, 57x57 inches)

Colour: The Womb Free Bleed design – lots of beautiful designed wombs and vulvas

I fell in love with this blanket because of its beautiful design. It is so feminine and such as great blanket for the time of my bleed. Even when I don’t free bleed, this one can provide support for the accidental leakage through my period undies or provide the emotional support when I feel like a hug and want to roll myself into a little cocoon. This blanket is also great for sacred practices and rituals such as yoni egg practices, meditation, breath, tantra practices etc. Any moment you want to connect with your womb and feminine energy – this blanket is it. I actually love the pink side as well. It is empowering and provides some kundalini enery – the divine creative feminine energy rising, fertility, rebirth, transformation, healing & sexual desire.

2: The summer Bamboo Splash Blanket

The summer bamboo blanket is made of 40% bamboo and 60% polyester and has been internally bonded with a waterproof layer.

Sizes: Small, medium, large.

Colours: Black, Charcoal, Caramel Latte, Sand, Rainforest or Vanilla Bean.

This one has been a favourite for me since last year when I got it. I love the bamboo, because it is cooler, lighter and thinner. I only had the original and thick fluffy blankets back then and this one was just OMG. So perfect for the hot summer days in Australia. Mine is black on black, meaning both sides are black. It feels soft, though not as soft as the double veluxe. This blanket is my favourite choice on hot days.

1: The double veluxe passion Splash blanket

The double veluxe passion splash blanket is made of 100%micro-velvet-fabric (outer layer) and 100%theroplastic polyurethane (inner layer).

This blanket seems to be the thinnest (next to the bamboo), but yet soft blanket from the range. It is waterproof and water absorbent as the others. However, the liquid absorption into the blanket takes a little more time compared to the thicker original one. I love the colour passion! It oozes passion, love, self-love, self-pleasure.. and it makes me feel like a Queen! The Self-love & Pleasure Queen!

Having my favourite colour on both sides of it, that soft & luxury feeling of the blanket, the feeling I’m getting from it, plus the features of helping me experience more pleasure by fully letting go – just made me fall in love with it! I have the jumbo size & OMG its massive, covering my whole King size bed.
